That is the day I am getting my new Mizunos!!! Yeah!!!
Just in time for my Sunday run, which I will be doing with my friend/biology lab partner Kristen. She used to run a few years ago but hasn't in a while. We were talking about it yesterday, and she decided she'd like to run with me. So we're going to study for our test on Sunday and follow that with a run.
I did manage another short run today. It was cold out, so I had to bundle the kids and myself up, but it was otherwise pretty good, albeit slow. I just can't wait to get those new shoes.

I used to be an athlete. In high school, I was on the track team. In college, I was a varsity rower. But then life happened. I graduated from college in 1998, got my first real job and started slacking in the exercise department. Add two kids and a few extra pounds and I was unhappy. In November 2006 I started running again as a way to shed some weight and get some much-needed "me time". And now I am back in school to pursue a career in nursing. Here's my journey.

Which model are you going with? Or maybe that's yet to be decided. I have Nirvana's for long stuff, 2 pairs of Inspire for regular training, and Elixir for long distance race. I'm about to retire some Rider 9s that I use for bricks, and possibly move the Elixirs to that role if I can find some Revolvers to be my distance race mule. Ah, who knew running could be so complicated?
