So the 2008 Monster Dash is in the books, and it was a fun race!
But I am glad I didn't dress up in costume. My idea -- to be a microorganism -- would have had me severely overdressed for the conditions, as it was around 80 degrees at race time. That is hot for us coastal types! Plus, my microbiology teacher didn't even show up for the race (she said she was going to), so the whole costume would have been lost on everyone else.
That's OK, though, because I had a good time and got a nice run in.
I still don't know my finish time (left Garmin at home), but I will post it once the official times are listed on the Internet. I know I didn't set a PR, since it was so stinkin' hot.

Good job! I'm doing my first "race" on Sunday. Honestly, I'm not really looking forward to it and I'll be walking, not running but I figure if my pregnant morning sickness sister can do it, I can do it too.
Maybe it will rain... ha ha!
80 degrees is hot anywhere, especially for a race! LOL!
