I took Kara to school at 8 a.m., and was seriously tossing around the idea of running right when I returned home. That is, until I saw the frost and ice -- yes, ice -- that was outside waiting for me. It was a balmy 25 degrees when Kara and I headed off to the preschool, and I knew right then a morning run was out.
I waited a couple hours to go running. It was about 40 degrees when I finally went. Much better, although still colder than I am used to running in. At least the ice had melted, though.
I ran to the bank and then to Kara's preschool, where Tim and Matty met us with the van. It was a nice run. I am loving the running tights still and the gloves. Tim said I look the part of a runner now. Yeah!
We're planning to got to Target later today, but I want to kick the new year off with a run tomorrow. Happy New Year, everyone!
Today's stats:
Run:
Distance: 4 miles
Time: 43:54
Pace: 10:58 minute/mile

Happy New Year, Michelle! Good day to get a run in around here, too.
Great runs you've had, it seems. So sorry to hear about Tim and the kids. Blah! on all the puking, ick. Your poor family! Hope they are all getting better.
Hope you and your family have a happy New Year!!!!
I am glad you didn't get sick! Is everyone better now?
You always looked and sounded like a runner to me :D
Happy New Year Michelle! Thanks for all your encouragement in 2007!
I had my first *ice* run ever this past week too! It was NOT fun, LOL!!!! You did great.
No ice here. You are a runner, even in old sweats that do not match.
