Our Internet was down most of the morning and early afternoon. Bah! Thank goodness it just came back up a few minutes ago so I can write about my awesome workout! :-)
Both the kids went down for naps at the same time today. That almost never happens in our household, as Kara stopped napping on a regular basis around a year ago. But today she must have been tired, because a few minutes after I got Matty to sleep, Kara conked out in our bed. LOL!
I decided to put the free time to good use and do a bike/run workout. It felt great!! I think from now on I am going to do my treadmill runs at a faster pace, like 11 minutes and under per mile, because anything above 11 minutes feels slow now. I never, ever thought I'd say that, especially about a treadmill workout! But now that I know I can run faster, I am going to up my pace on the shorter runs (most of the time) and save the slower pace for longer runs (like four miles and above).
Speaking of longer runs, I am planning a longer one tomorrow. It will probably be five miles. Maybe longer if I'm feeling good. ;-)

Pace: 3:44 minute/mile
Run (treadmill):
Distance: two miles
Time: 22:05
Pace: 11:02:05 minute/mile
Splits:
Mile 1: 11:23
Mile 2: 10:42 (this is the fastest mile I've done in training so far. Obviously not counting last weekend's race. LOL!)

Talk about a miracle!!!! LUCKY YOU!! Keira stopped with the naps too, a good 6 or so months back. God how I wish she'd still nap. Totally jealous!! And to top off a good kid day, you also had a GREAT workout!! Awesome!!
