So I finally got a run in

I feel so refreshed right now!

I was able to sneak a run in this afternoon. I needed it so badly! Who cares if it was in the rain and my Garmin died because I forgot to charge it?

I got to try out some of my new running duds, including socks, running tights and a long-sleeved running shirt. I loved all of them! The tights are awesome because they keep everything from jiggling. And they make me look more like a runner, in my opinion.

I also wore my new running gloves that my inlaws bought me for Christmas. Now I want to train for a marathon. You can see why:

So if the HM goes well in May, I might just train for the next marathon here in October. If I do, I have gloves to wear! ;-)

So I am going to be adding some strength training to my regime in the new year. I got some $$ for the holidays, so I am buying myself a little gift:

It's the Weider Total Body Works 5000, a strength training machine. It's basically the same thing as the Total Gym that Chuck Norris and Christie Brinkley peddle, but it's a lot less expensive. I have read several reviews from people who own this particular machine, and they have all been positive. So I am going to order one and try it out! I really want to firm things up and gain some muscle and this looks like it will help. And it's something Tim can use too, so he can get buff also. LOL!

OK, that's it for now. I hope to run again tomorrow before heading off to a holiday dinner at a family member's house.

Today's stats:
Run:
Distance (per mapmyrun.com): 3.23 miles
Time and pace: no idea

That's exactly why I wear my tights. It keeps all my "stuff" from jiggling :-)

I have a total gym. It's a couple of years old, but they are well worth the money.

You do not have any jigglings.
that equipment looks like it could inflict pain, in a good way.
